Jenifer Thien

Jenifer Thien, 56, a Malaysian, is an Independent Non-Executive Director of SD Guthrie Berhad. She was appointed to the Board of SD Guthrie on 22 December 2023.

Jenifer Thien is the Founder and Principal of Grit and Pace, through which she offers invaluable expertise for corporations on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy alongside driving transformative change in supply chain, procurement and operational excellence. She has over three decades of experience in top executive positions in the consumer-packaged goods industry as she worked and resided in various countries in Asia and the United States. She spent 25 years at Mars Incorporated, where she last served as Global Chief Procurement Officer.

Jenifer Thien currently serves as director/council member on the boards of UEM Edgenta Berhad, AEON Co. (M) Berhad, Malaysian Pacific Industries Berhad, Olam Agri Holdings Limited, Jadestone Energy PLC, Climate Governance Malaysia and Asia Advisory Board Member of Lucta S.A.

Jenifer Thien holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Food Science and Technology from University Putra Malaysia. She is also an alumna of the executive programmes at the London Business School, INSEAD, Harvard Business School and Center for Creative Leadership.
