We prioritise the well-being of workers, communities, and the environment. Agrochemicals play a role in protecting our agricultural operations from diseases and pests, ensuring high yields. However, we strive to minimise their use, including pesticides and chemical fertilisers, through responsible management practices.
Our agrochemical use is governed by a comprehensive management plan and strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) designed to prevent exposure to hazardous chemicals. We strictly prohibit the use of WHO Class 1A and 1B chemicals, as well as substances listed under the Stockholm and Rotterdam Conventions and the FSC Highly Hazardous list. Additionally, we avoid bio-accumulative and persistent pesticides to reduce potential harm to the ecosystem. For more details on our fertiliser usage, please visit our website.
To further reduce reliance on chemicals, we have implemented an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach. This holistic strategy combines cultural, mechanical, biological, and chemical methods to effectively control pests across our plantations. Initiatives under IPM include:
Through these efforts, we balance agricultural productivity with environmental stewardship, fostering sustainable practices that contribute to long-term ecological health.
